Marksbury waxed Cheddar


Made near Wells in Somerset, the cheddars are matured a minimum of 14 months but up to 18 months and more. Very strong, farmyardy flavour with a sharp tang and lingering bitter-sweetness when matured for up to two years. However, younger varieties offer more of a smoother, richer, cheddar taste with none of the fiery tang of its aged cousin. This is a traditional, handmade West-Country cheddar with an authentic flavour!
